End of WWII
Once World War II ended, America was given most all of the credit for ending the war, and we had suffered very few casualties, only about 400,000. The Soviet Union had suffered the most casualties of all during WWII, numbering to about 20-25 million, however the USSR still got no credit for ending the war, and obviously got very frustrated by this. When the US wanted to officially end the war in Japan, they dropped the bomb on Hiroshima, however the USSR wanted more land for themselves, and had decided to enter the war in-between the bombings of Japan.
